Founded on the belief that how we travel matters far more than how many passport stamps we collect.

111111 was established to challenge the relentless pace of algorithmic tourism. We do not curate lists of forty sights to photograph in forty-eight hours. Instead, our field researchers reside in regions for seasons at a time, mapping vernacular crafts, vernacular architecture, and indigenous culinary wisdom.
We believe in travel that gives back to host communities through respectful presence, patronizing family-owned lodgings, and leaving landscapes pristine. Our magazine represents our commitment to editorial independence and thoughtful visual storytelling.
